Beyond Frontiers...

Force is incompatible with the vision of recovery. Even if it is in the patient’s best interest, coercion disempowers patients and perpetuates them and us. PROMISE Global aspires to set and break through frontiers of humane mental health care and eliminate reliance on force. Founded between Cambridge, Yale, Brisbane, Prague and Cape Town, we are  keen to work with and learn from organisations who are on a similar journey to ours. Together we hope to create a framework that will serve as a compass for other aspiring organisations. If you are interested please get in touch.

A movement for change and call for action so that organisations working locally can create seamless recovery trajectories for their own health economies.

A partnership model that transforms  present systems of care into those that put the patient ahead of organisational boundaries

and create a proactive workforce for the future.

PROMISE Portfolio:

A framework to transform the nature of day to day interactions at the frontline. Celebrating the best of what is and knowing when and how to reinvent the wheel is central to the journey.

The PROMISE study has been funded by the National Institute for Health Research Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (NIHR CLAHRC) East of England. The views expressed are those of the author(s) and not necessarily those of the NHS, the NIHR or the Department of Health.
